thank you for doing this, it’s really helpful because I’m struggling in my spanish class. However, I do have a request, is it possible to transfer all of the lessons to iTunes, podcast. That way, I can download and listen to these helpful lesson on my ipod..in the car, walking around, studying, etc… that would be really great if you can do this as soon as possible. sorry, but i’m failing my class and need to do anything possible to improve the way I’m learning. Thanks, and best regards, paul 916-719-9357.

I am very disturbed at all the grammatical errors in your “lessons” Even a 7th grader after a week knows that
“Que es tu nombre” is wrong, wrong, wrong. Did you consult any native speakers anywhere ?
I am sorry — your site needs a lot of correction. Please do it before any more people learn language incorrectly.
Thanks.

Hi Caroline:
I apreciate your intention but you should change some of the sentences you showed us. Sometimes there’s no relation between what you say and what is written on the screen (”este” and “esto”).
And “policy” is not “policía” but “política”. The “returns policy” is the “política de devoluciones”.
Best regards and keep improving, and don’t become discouraged!

Sorry, but most of this stuff is unusable. “Talla” is used to ask about size of clothing, not tamaño. #6 will just get you a blank stare, c’mon! This is Spanglish, not Spanish.
‘al’ extranjero…things like that. If you’re going to publish something, then do it right. If not, then just keep it to yourself. Until then, your title, ‘useful Spanish’ is misleading…

This is my version of this theme with my spanish of Spain
Can you wrap this? ¿Podría de envolverme esto?
2. Is it possible to ship this overseas? ¿Es possible enviar esto por envio maritimo (al extranjero)?
3. How much does this cost? ¿Cuánto cuesta esto?
4. Does this come in a different size? ¿Tiene esto en una talla diferente? talla is diferent to tamaño
5. This is very expensive. Esto es muy caro.
6. What time does the store close? ¿A qué hora cierra la tienda?
7. Can I try this on in a different color? ¿Tiene esto en un color diferente?
8. Where is the dressing room? ¿Dónde está el _probador_?
“Camerino” is only used by actors in the theaters or making a film.
9. This doesn’t fit me. Esto no me encaja.
10. What is the return policy? ¿Cuál es la política de retorno? Here I dont know what you want to say.
I would say: ” Si hay algún problema, ¿puedo cambiarlo con el ticket?” ( If there`s any problem with this xxxxx -or with the size-, could I change it with the ticket?)

I’m surprised by the high number of mistakes in many of the Spanish videos in this website. Most of the phrases in Spanish have a very bad grammar and many times a literal translation which doesn’t work if you want to learn a correct language.
It is worse than a street jargon, so I cannot recommend these lessons as useful, in fact they are very bad lessons.
Look for a different alternative or even better buy audio lessons for about US$40, Pimsleur is usually pretty good.
